Upgrading your firmware reprograms the laser's control board to unlock new capabilities, improve processing speeds, or apply system patches. For the Fusion line, firmware is distributed as a .swu file and is transferred to the machine using either a USB drive or a direct network connection via Ethernet or Wi-Fi.
