Start by opening one of the example models in 123D Make or a model of your own.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/support.epiloglaser.com\/staging\/assets\/img\/123d-make-trex-001.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"426\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>2. Then set up the sheet parameters for the material you will be using to manufacture your model.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Enter <\/strong>the<strong> Width<\/strong>, <strong>Height<\/strong>, and <strong>Thickness<\/strong> of the sheet you will be using, and <strong>fill in 0.00<\/strong> for both the <strong>Slot Offset<\/strong> and <strong>Tool Diameter<\/strong>.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/support.epiloglaser.com\/staging\/assets\/img\/123d-make-trex-002.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"592\" height=\"659\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>3. In the <strong>Object Size<\/strong> panel you can\u00a0change the size of the model. In this example the model&#8217;s length was changed to 12&#8243; and the other measurements scale to proportion.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/support.epiloglaser.com\/staging\/assets\/img\/123d-make-trex-003.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"438\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>4. Now select your <strong>Construction Technique<\/strong> from\u00a0the drop-down menu. This example is the <strong>Stacked Slices<\/strong> technique.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/support.epiloglaser.com\/staging\/assets\/img\/123d-make-trex-004.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"461\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Note:<\/strong> There are 6 different <strong>Construction Techniques<\/strong> to select from:\u00a0<strong>Stacked Slices<\/strong>, <strong>Interlocked Slices<\/strong>, <strong>Curve<\/strong>, <strong>Radial<\/strong>, <strong>Folded Panels<\/strong>, and <strong>3D Slices<\/strong>. Each\u00a0Construction Technique provides a very different style of assembly and look that benefits different types of models in different ways. Select the method that best visually represents your model, is the quickest to assemble, or wastes the least amount of material &#8211; it is really up to you!<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/support.epiloglaser.com\/staging\/assets\/img\/123d-make-trex-types-005.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"900\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>5. Now that we have selected <strong>Stacked Slices<\/strong> as\u00a0the <strong>Construction Technique<\/strong>, we need to define the <strong>Diameter<\/strong>\u00a0and <strong>Location<\/strong> of the dowel holes we will use to build the model. Select <strong>Square<\/strong> from the <strong>Shape<\/strong> drop-down menu and enter the <strong>Diameter<\/strong> of the dowels you will be using to build the model. To add more dowels holes simply double click close to where you want the hole to be,\u00a0then\u00a0click and drag the blue dot\u00a0to the location you want the hole.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/support.epiloglaser.com\/staging\/assets\/img\/123d-make-trex-011.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"555\" height=\"369\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>6. Depending on the results you are looking for, you can define a different <strong>Slice Direction<\/strong> for your model by clicking on <strong>Slice Direction<\/strong> then dragging the blue cone.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/support.epiloglaser.com\/staging\/assets\/img\/123d-make-trex-012.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"374\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>7. 123D Make has a built-in <strong>Assembly Steps<\/strong> panel to help you through the assembly process. This feature comes in handy\u00a0for some of the other styles of <strong>Construction Techniques, <\/strong>depending on the complexity of the model.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/support.epiloglaser.com\/staging\/assets\/img\/123d-make-trex-013.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"366\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>8.
