vs Custom Center Engraving"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2 id=\"Using-Center_Center\">Using Center-Center<\/h2>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>There are many ways to use Center Engraving on the Epilog Laser Dashboard.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Let\u2019s take a logo we want to engrave at the center of a coaster.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"Choose logo for engraving\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/center-center_01.jpg\" alt=\"Choose the logo and add to the Epilog Laser Dashboard\" \/><\/p>\n<p>In the Epilog Dashboard, choose the Advanced Tab.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Next to Centering Point you\u2019ll see a list of all of options.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>We\u2019ll choose Center-Center.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"location of center center setting\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/center-center_03.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>We can now see a red dot placed at the center point of the graphic.<\/p>\n<p><img choose our material settings and print it to the laser.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"Select material settings\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/center-center_04.jpg\" alt=\"select material settings\" \/><\/p>\n<h2 id=\"Position-with-Joystick\">Position with Joystick<\/h2>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>At the laser choose the Joystick icon.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The coaster is 4\u201d x 4\u201d, so set the Move To dimension to 2\u201d and 2\u201d.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"Set Move-to dimensions\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/center-center_05.jpg\" alt=\"Set Move-to dimensions to 2 and 2\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Click the joystick icon to move to this setting.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"Click the joystick icon\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/center-center_06.jpg\" alt=\"Click the joystick icon to move to this setting\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Click the center icon to match the Centering Point to 2\u201d x selected, press the Go button\" \/><br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" title=\"Engrave the Logo\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/center-center_09.jpg\" alt=\"engrave your logo to the sample material\" \/><\/p>\n<h2 id=\"Using-Custom-Center\">Using Custom Center<\/h2>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>You can see the variety of places you can set your center point depending on your item to be engraved.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>You can choose Left-Center, Right-Center, or many others.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"See preset options\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/center-center_10.jpg\" alt=\"there are multiple presets for center\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Back in the Epilog Dashboard if we change to Right-Center, the red dot representation changed their logo to add a lobster to the right side of the circle.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>If we use Center-Center engraving, the artwork placement will be off.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>We want the center point to be at the center of the circle, not the whole artwork.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"Determine appropriate center\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/center-center_13.jpg\" alt=\"determine the appropriate center\" \/><\/p>\n<p>To find the center point we want to use, ungroup the artwork.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"Ungroup Artwork\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/center-center_14.jpg\" alt=\"ungroup the artwork\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Select just the circle logo without the lobster.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"Select logo without lobster\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/center-center_15.jpg\" alt=\"select logo without the lobster\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Place the cursor over the center point and we can see the X Y coordinates.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"Find the X Y coordinates\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/center-center_16.jpg\" alt=\"Place the cursor over the center point and we can see the X Y coordinates\" \/><\/p>\n<p>If we choose Custom Center, we can match these coordinates.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"Set custom with coordinates\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/center-center_17.jpg\" alt=\"choose custom centering point and enter coordinates\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Now the Red Dot is at the center of our graphic and will engrave around \/><\/p>\n<p>Our center point is still correct, so select the new job and press the Start button.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Now we can see both our old and new logo, both perfectly
