{"id":17924,"date":"2024-09-26T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2024-09-26T06:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/support.epiloglaser.com\/staging\/laser-machine\/fusion-pro\/getting-started\/installing-the-rim-drive-rotary-attachment_mini-helix\/"},"modified":"2025-04-01T15:03:40","modified_gmt":"2025-04-01T21:03:40","slug":"installing-the-rim-drive-rotary-attachment_mini-helix","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/support.epiloglaser.com\/staging\/laser-machine\/mini-helix\/rotary\/installing-the-rim-drive-rotary-attachment_mini-helix\/","title":{"rendered":"Installing the Rim-Drive Rotary Attachment"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2 id=\"Installing-Rim_Drive\">Installing the Rim-Drive Rotary Attachment<\/h2>\n<p>To begin installing the Rim-Drive Rotary Attachment, make sure your machine is plugged in and powered on.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/mini-helix_rim-drive-rotary-installation_03.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>We then suggest opening the front door on your machine you so you can view the vertical position of the machine\u2019s table.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/mini-helix_rim-drive-rotary-installation_04.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/mini-helix_rim-drive-rotary-installation_05.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>At the control panel, press the Focus button to enter Focus Mode.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/mini-helix_rim-drive-rotary-installation_06.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Then press down arrow button to lower the table.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/mini-helix_rim-drive-rotary-installation_07.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Lower the table as low as you can while still being able to access the table\u2019s Crumb Tray.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/mini-helix_rim-drive-rotary-installation_08.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/mini-helix_rim-drive-rotary-installation_09.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Press the Reset button to exit Focus Mode.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/mini-helix_rim-drive-rotary-installation_10.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/mini-helix_rim-drive-rotary-installation_11.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Next, power off the machine and unplug the power cord.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/mini-helix_rim-drive-rotary-installation_12.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Next, flip up the three rulers securing your Vector Cutting Table or engraving Task Plate.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/mini-helix_rim-drive-rotary-installation_13.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/mini-helix_rim-drive-rotary-installation_14.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Remove the Vector Cutting Table or engraving Task Plate.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/mini-helix_rim-drive-rotary-installation_15.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>If you didn\u2019t earlier, open the front door on your machine now.<\/p>\n<p>Next, remove the Crumb Tray from the table by first flipping out the two release tabs on the Crumb Tray\u2019s front face, then sliding the Crumb Tray out through the front panel opening.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/mini-helix_rim-drive-rotary-installation_16.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/mini-helix_rim-drive-rotary-installation_17.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>You can now close the front panel door.<\/p>\n<p>Next, remove the Task Plate levelling and support bar that runs down the center of the table area.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/mini-helix_rim-drive-rotary-installation_18.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s now time to insert the Rim-Drive Rotary Attachment. You\u2019ll notice the Rim-Drive Rotary Attachment has pins on it\u2019s bottom side. These pins line up with holes located on the bottom of the table tray.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/mini-helix_rim-drive-rotary-installation_19.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/mini-helix_rim-drive-rotary-installation_20.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/mini-helix_rim-drive-rotary-installation_21.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/mini-helix_rim-drive-rotary-installation_22.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Insert the Rim-Drive Rotary Attachment, lining up the pins on rotary attachment with the holes in the table.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/mini-helix_rim-drive-rotary-installation_23.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/mini-helix_rim-drive-rotary-installation_24.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/mini-helix_rim-drive-rotary-installation_25.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Next, double check that the machine is powered off. THE MACHINE MUST BE POWERED OFF WHEN THE RIM-DRIVE ROTARY ATTACHMENT IS PLUGGED INTO OR UNPLUGGED FROM THE MACHINE.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/mini-helix_rim-drive-rotary-installation_26.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>With the machine powered off, plug the Rim-Drive Rotary Attachment\u2019s white connector into the port at the back of the table area. The white connector is a keyed connector and will only insert in one direction.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/mini-helix_rim-drive-rotary-installation_27.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/mini-helix_rim-drive-rotary-installation_28.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/mini-helix_rim-drive-rotary-installation_29.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Now, plug in and power on the machine.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/mini-helix_rim-drive-rotary-installation_30.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The machine now knows that the Rim-Drive Rotary Attachment is installed and will automatically change its Home Position to a point directly above the center point of the drive wheels of the attachment.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/mini-helix_rim-drive-rotary-installation_31.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/mini-helix_rim-drive-rotary-installation_32.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The Rim-Drive Rotary Attachment is now installed and ready for use.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"Uninstalling-Rim_Drive\">Uninstalling the Rotary Attachment<\/h2>\n<p>To uninstall the Rim-Drive Rotary Attachment, begin by powering off and unplugging the machine. THE MACHINE MUST BE POWERED OFF WHEN THE RIM-DRIVE ROTARY ATTACHMENT IS PLUGGED INTO OR UNPLUGGED FROM THE MACHINE.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/mini-helix_rim-drive-rotary-installation_33.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>With the machine powered off, unplug the attachment\u2019s white connector from the back of the table area.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/mini-helix_rim-drive-rotary-installation_34.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Manually push the horizontal gantry to the back of the machine to provide clearance to remove the rotary attachment.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/mini-helix_rim-drive-rotary-installation_35.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Remove the Rim-Drive Rotary Attachment from the machine.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/mini-helix_rim-drive-rotary-installation_36.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/mini-helix_rim-drive-rotary-installation_37.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Open the front panel door.
