{"id":17932,"date":"2024-09-26T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2024-09-26T06:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/support.epiloglaser.com\/staging\/laser-machine\/fusion-pro\/getting-started\/using-registration-marks-to-cut-preprinted-acrylic-keychains\/"},"modified":"2025-04-01T13:47:52","modified_gmt":"2025-04-01T19:47:52","slug":"using-registration-marks-to-cut-preprinted-acrylic-keychains","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/support.epiloglaser.com\/staging\/laser-machine\/fusion-pro\/machine-control-settings\/using-registration-marks-to-cut-preprinted-acrylic-keychains\/","title":{"rendered":"Using Registration Marks to Cut Preprinted Acrylic Keychains"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2 id=\"Setup-Files\">Setup Files<\/h2>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Here we have a sheet of keychains to cut out of an acrylic sheet we had preprinted with the flower design.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"Preprinted Acrylic Sheet\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/using-registration-marks_01.jpg\" alt=\"acrylic sheet with preprinted flower designs\" \/><\/p>\n<p>In CorelDRAW, you can also see the file we printed, along with the four registration marks printed at the corners of the design.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"Art file with registration marks\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/using-registration-marks_02.jpg\" alt=\"see print file with four registration marks\" \/><\/p>\n<p>First, we\u2019ll turn on the Objects docker by going to Window &gt; Dockers &gt; Objects.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"turn on the Objects docker\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/using-registration-marks_03.jpg\" alt=\"Turn on the Objects docker by going to Window &gt; Dockers &gt; Objects\" \/><\/p>\n<p>There are three groups of objects: printing, cutting, and registration marks at the laser.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"Three groups of objects\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/using-registration-marks_04.jpg\" alt=\"three groups of objects: printing, cutting, and registration marks at the laser\" \/><\/p>\n<p>We\u2019ll turn off the printing objects layer and turn off printing of that layer.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Next, we\u2019ll turn on the view of the cutting objects and printing of that layer.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>And repeat this process for the registration marks.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"Three groups of objects\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/using-registration-marks_05.jpg\" alt=\"three groups of objects: printing, cutting, and registration marks at the laser\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The registration marks for the laser are an outline of the printed black circles.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>We\u2019ll just use two here to save time when setting up the job.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"Locate two of the registration marks\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/using-registration-marks_06.jpg\" alt=\"we will use two of the registration marks to save time\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Print the file to the laser.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"Laser-Settings\">Define Laser Settings<\/h2>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>There are two processes: Engrave and Vector.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"Click Engrave\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/using-registration-marks_07.jpg\" alt=\"open the engrave process\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Click the Registration marks symbol for the Engrave layer.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"Click the Registration marks symbol\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/using-registration-marks_08.jpg\" alt=\"Click the Registration marks symbol for the Engrave layer\" \/><\/p>\n<p>On the Vector layer, import the settings for acrylic cutting 1\/8\u201d.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"Import acrylic cutting 1\/8\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/using-registration-marks_09.jpg\" alt=\"import the settings for acrylic cutting 1\/8\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Click Send to Job Manager to continue with your project using the registration camera.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"Connect-Reg-Marks\">Connect Registration Marks<\/h2>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>In the Job Manager, select the flower-keychains.cdr file in the uncategorized files section.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"Select flower-keychains.cdr\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/using-registration-marks_10.jpg\" alt=\"select the flower-keychains.cdr file in the uncategorized files section.\" \/><\/p>\n<p>In the job preview window you will see a pink registration mark highlighted.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"Locate pink registration mark\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/using-registration-marks_11.jpg\" alt=\"see pink registration mark highlighted in the job preview window\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Find the corresponding mark in the camera view and select it.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"Find the corresponding mark\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/using-registration-marks_12.jpg\" alt=\"Find the corresponding mark in the camera view and select it.\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Once selected, the second registration mark is highlighted.
