{"id":17941,"date":"2024-09-26T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2024-09-26T06:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/support.epiloglaser.com\/staging\/laser-machine\/fusion-pro\/getting-started\/laser-alignment_zing\/"},"modified":"2025-12-31T10:16:59","modified_gmt":"2025-12-31T17:16:59","slug":"laser-alignment_zing","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/support.epiloglaser.com\/staging\/laser-machine\/zing\/calibrations\/laser-alignment_zing\/","title":{"rendered":"Laser Alignment &#8211; Zing"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2 id=\"Alignment-Target\">Mark the Laser Alignment Target<\/h2>\n<p>To begin the laser alignment procedure, in your graphics software, set your page size equal to your machine\u2019s table size and create a small \u00bc\u201d by \u00bc\u201d black filled box in the upper right corner of the page, then send it to the laser.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/zing_laser-alignment_01.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Install the alignment target into the lens carriage and place a small piece of masking tape over it.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/zing_laser-alignment_02.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/zing_laser-alignment_03.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Press the Pointer button on the keypad to turn on the Red Dot Pointer.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/zing_laser-alignment_04.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Press Go to run the job.<\/p>\n<p>The laser will mark the tape on the alignment target.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/zing_laser-alignment_05.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<h2 id=\"Remove-Side-Panel\">Remove Side Panel<\/h2>\n<p>Remove the left side panel by removing the three screws on the side of the machine and the screw on the back of the machine, then pulling the panel away.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/zing_laser-alignment_06.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/zing_laser-alignment_07.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/zing_laser-alignment_08.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<h2 id=\"Align-Red-Dot\">Align Red Dot to Laser to Perform Alignment<\/h2>\n<p>If the red dot pointer and the burn mark made by the laser are not aligned, locate the red dot pointer mount at the bottom of the periscope on the left side of the machine. Use a 3\/32\u201d hex key to adjust the alignment screws on the red dot pointer mount and align the red dot to the burn mark on the laser alignment target.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/zing_laser-alignment_09.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/zing_laser-alignment_10.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/zing_laser-alignment_11.jpg\" alt=\"laser alignment\" width=\"830\" height=\"467\" \/><\/p>\n<h2 id=\"Align-First-Mirror\">Align First Mirror<\/h2>\n<p>Remove the masking tape from the alignment target.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/zing_laser-alignment_12.jpg\" alt=\"laser alignment\" width=\"830\" height=\"467\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Press the X\/Y Off button on the keypad then move the laser head to the front left corner of the machine.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/zing_laser-alignment_13.jpg\" alt=\"laser alignment\" width=\"830\" height=\"467\" \/><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/zing_laser-alignment_14.jpg\" alt=\"laser alignment\" width=\"830\" height=\"467\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Use a 3\/32\u201d hex key to adjust the alignment screws on the mirror at the bottom of the periscope on the left side of the machine.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/zing_laser-alignment_15.jpg\" alt=\"laser alignment\" width=\"830\" height=\"467\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Align the red dot to the center of the alignment target.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/zing_laser-alignment_16.jpg\" alt=\"laser alignment\" width=\"830\" height=\"467\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/zing_laser-alignment_17.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<h2 id=\"Align-Second-Mirror\">Align Second Mirror<\/h2>\n<p>Move the laser head to the back left corner of the machine.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/zing_laser-alignment_18.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Use a 3\/32\u201d hex key to adjust the alignment screws on the mirror at the top of the periscope on the left side of the machine.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/zing_laser-alignment_19.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Align the red dot to the center of the alignment target.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/zing_laser-alignment_20.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/zing_laser-alignment_21.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Move the lens carriage back to the front left corner of the machine and make sure the red dot is still within the center circle of the alignment target.<\/p>\n<p>If the red dot is not properly positioned, continue to adjust the alignment screws on the mirrors until you can move the lens carriage between the front and back corners on the left side of the machine without the red dot leaving the center of the alignment target.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"Align-Third-Mirror\">Align Third Mirror<\/h2>\n<p>Move the laser head to the front right corner of the machine.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/zing_laser-alignment_22.jpg\" alt=\"laser alignment\" width=\"830\" height=\"467\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Use a 3\/32\u201d hex key to adjust the alignment screws on the mirror at the left end of the x-axis assembly.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/zing_laser-alignment_23.jpg\" alt=\"laser alignment\" width=\"830\" height=\"467\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Align the red dot to the center of the alignment target.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/zing_laser-alignment_24.jpg\" alt=\"laser alignment\" width=\"830\" height=\"467\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img id=\"Reinstall-Side-Panel\">Reinstall Side Panel after Laser Alignment Procedure<\/h2>\n<p>Reinstall the left side panel by reattaching the three screws on the side of the machine.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/zing_laser-alignment_26.jpg\" alt=\"laser alignment\" width=\"830\" height=\"467\" \/><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/zing_laser-alignment_27.jpg\" alt=\"laser alignment\" width=\"830\" height=\"467\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Tighten the screw on the back of the machine.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/zing_laser-alignment_28.jpg\" alt=\"laser alignment\" width=\"830\" height=\"467\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Now that the laser alignment procedure is done, plug the machine in and turn it on.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\"
