Repeat this process until the cotton swab comes away clean, using new cotton swabs when the old ones become dirty.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/fusion_bearing-rails_07.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/fusion_bearing-rails_08.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Move the lens assembly along the x-axis toward the end of the bearing rail you just cleaned.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/fusion_bearing-rails_09.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Apply rubbing alcohol to another cotton swab.<\/p>\n<p>On the remaining, uncleaned portion of the bearing rail, run the cotton swab along the top and bottom of the rail, repeating until the cotton swabs come away clean.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/fusion_bearing-rails_10.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/fusion_bearing-rails_11.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<h2 id=\"Grease-Bearing-Rails\">Grease the Bearing Rails<\/h2>\n<p>Next, apply a small amount of bearing grease to one spot on the top and bottom of the bearing rail.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/fusion_bearing-rails_12.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/fusion_bearing-rails_13.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Slowly move the lens assembly left and right along the length of the bearing rail at least several times to spread the grease evenly across the assembly\u2019s path.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/fusion_bearing-rails_14.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/fusion_bearing-rails_15.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Be sure to wipe away any excess grease that builds up at either end of the rail.
