Over time, misalignment can occur due to regular use, component replacement, or moving the machine to a new location. This guide provides a step-by-step process for checking and adjusting the laser alignment, helping to maintain consistent engraving quality, maximize laser efficiency, and extend the lifespan of critical optical components. Following these instructions will help prevent weak laser power, ineffective cutting, and premature failure of lens assembly optics.<\/p>\n<h2>Fiber Laser Alignment<\/h2>\n<p>Fiber laser alignment should be checked periodically to ensure that the engraver is operating at optimum performance. Complete this procedure if any of the following behaviors are observed:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"uk-list uk-list-square uk-list-primary uk-list-striped\">\n<li>Laser power appears weak in certain areas of the table.<\/li>\n<li>Engraver is unable to effectively cut through materials at recommended settings.<\/li>\n<li>Optics in the lens assembly fail prematurely.<\/li>\n<li>The engraver has been moved to a new location.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Fiber Laser Safety<\/h2>\n<div class=\"uk-panel uk-tile-muted uk-padding\">\n<p><i><strong><span class=\"uk-text-danger uk-h4\"><i class=\"fas fa-exclamation-triangle uk-margin-small-right fa-2x\"><\/i>Warning: <\/span><\/strong>The laser assembly used in the Fusion Pro fiber engraver can cause serious and permanent injury if safety procedures are not observed.<\/i><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<ul class=\"uk-list uk-list-square uk-list-primary uk-list-striped\">\n<li>Do not fire the fiber laser with any engraver panels removed.<\/li>\n<li>Do not place any part of your body in the beam path while the laser is in operation.<\/li>\n<li>Do not defeat the safety interlock system in the engraver.<\/li>\n<li>Prescription, Lexan, and polycarbonate eyewear <strong>will NOT<\/strong> protect your eyes from the fiber laser.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Fiber Laser Red Dot Pointer<\/h2>\n<p>In fiber-only equipped engravers, it is not necessary to align the red dot pointer to the laser beam.
