Press the Go and Pointer button at the same time to access the Function Menu and cycle through the headings by pressing the Go button. Clip the strap on to any metal part of the machine. Always wear the anti-static strap when handling the control board to avoid damaging the unit through static discharge.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"Put on the anti-static strap and clip it to the machine.\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/zing_replacing-the-control-panel_04.jpg\" alt=\"Clipping a wrist-mounted static strap to the exhaust port of the machine.\" \/><\/p>\n<h2 id=\"Remove-Display-Panel\">Remove Old Display Panel<\/h2>\n<p>Loosen the two screws on the side of the display panel.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"Loosen the display panel screws.\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/zing_replacing-the-control-panel_05.jpg\" alt=\"Loosening the display panel captive screws.\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Grasp the two screws and pull the controller away from the engraver. A small amount of force will be required to remove the board from the machine as you disconnect the electrical connections.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"Pull the controller away from the engraver.\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/zing_replacing-the-control-panel_06.jpg\" alt=\"Pulling the display panel out of the machine.\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Make sure the copper strips inside the control housing stay in place when you remove the board.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"Be sure the copper strips stay in place.\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/zing_replacing-the-control-panel_07.jpg\" alt=\"A close-up of the copper strip inside the control housing.\" \/><\/p>\n<h2 id=\"Install-Display-Panel\">Install New Display Panel<\/h2>\n<p>Slide the new display unit into place, ensuring the tabs on the control unit fit into the grooves on the side of the housing. Push the display unit all the way into the slots until it is fully seated.
