Then remove the top panel.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"Remove the two screws at the top corners\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/mini-helix_replacing-the-control-panel_11.jpg\" alt=\"Removing one of the top corner screws\" \/><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"Remove the top panel\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/mini-helix_replacing-the-control-panel_14.jpg\" alt=\"Removing the top panel\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Loosen the four nuts using a socket wrench, then remove the bezel by sliding it out from under the screws, away from the machine.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"Loosen the four nuts that secure the bezel to the front of the machine\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/mini-helix_replacing-the-control-panel_15.jpg\" alt=\"The nuts holding down the bezel\" \/><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"Slide the bezel out from under the loosened nuts\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/mini-helix_replacing-the-control-panel_16.jpg\" alt=\"Removing the bezel\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Unplug the flex cable from the keyboard by pinching the harness clip at the base.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"Unplug the flex cable\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/mini-helix_replacing-the-control-panel_17.jpg\" alt=\"Unplugging the flex cable\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Remove the four screws from the PCB and remove the control panel plug. Set the PCB aside.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"Remove the four PCB screws\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/mini-helix_replacing-the-control-panel_18.jpg\" alt=\"Removing the screws securing the PCB to the bezel\" \/><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"Unplug the control panel from the PCB\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/mini-helix_replacing-the-control-panel_19.jpg\" alt=\"Unplugging the control panel connector from the PCB\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Peel the keypad off the front of the bezel.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"Peel the keypad off the front of the bezel\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/mini-helix_replacing-the-control-panel_20.jpg\" alt=\"Peeling the keypad off the front of the bezel\" \/><\/p>\n<h2 id=\"Install-New-Keypad\">Install New Keypad<\/h2>\n<p>Install the new keypad by sliding the connector through the top bezel slot and pressing the keyboard&#8217;s adhesive back to the recess in the bezel.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"Slide the new keypad's connector through the bezel slot\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/mini-helix_replacing-the-control-panel_21.jpg\" alt=\"Inserting the new keypad's connector through the bezel\" \/><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"Press the new keypad's adhesive back to the recess in the bezel\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/mini-helix_replacing-the-control-panel_22.jpg\" alt=\"The new keypad applied to the bezel recess\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Plug the keypad into the PCB, then insert the PCB&#8217;s four screws.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"Plug the keypad into the PCB\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/mini-helix_replacing-the-control-panel_23.jpg\" alt=\"Plugging the keypad into the PCB\" \/><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"Insert the PCB's four screws\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/mini-helix_replacing-the-control-panel_24.jpg\" alt=\"Inserting the four PCB screws\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Plug the flex cable into the PCB.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"Plug the flex cable into the keyboard\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/mini-helix_replacing-the-control-panel_25.jpg\" alt=\"Plugging the flex cable into the PCB\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Replace the bezel by sliding it under the front four nuts. Insert the three center screws to secure both panels.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"Install the bottom panel by affixing it to the two bottom nuts\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/mini-helix_replacing-the-control-panel_31.jpg\" alt=\"The bottom panel's nut\" \/><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"Insert the three center screws to secure both panels\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/mini-helix_replacing-the-control-panel_32.jpg\" alt=\"The three screws that secure the interior panels\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Now ensure the back panels are secure by tightening the three center screws, the two top screws, and the two bottom nuts.
