{"id":18009,"date":"2024-09-24T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2024-09-24T06:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/support.epiloglaser.com\/staging\/laser-machine\/fusion-pro\/getting-started\/control-panel_fusion\/"},"modified":"2024-09-24T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"2024-09-24T06:00:00","slug":"control-panel_fusion","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/support.epiloglaser.com\/staging\/laser-machine\/fusion-m2\/control-circuit-boards\/control-panel_fusion\/","title":{"rendered":"Replacing the Control Panel"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2 id=\"Remove-Panel\">Remove Panel<\/h2>\n<p>Remove the top access panel on the right side of the machine by using a 5\/32\u201d hex key to turn the black panel locks \u00be of the way counter-clockwise.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/fusion_replacing-the-control-panel_03.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/fusion_replacing-the-control-panel_04.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<h2 id=\"Remove-Old-Keypad\">Remove Old Keypad<\/h2>\n<p>From beneath, locate and disconnect the wire harnesses from the back side of the key pad.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/fusion_replacing-the-control-panel_05.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Once the wire harnesses have been removed, use a 7\/64\u201d hex key to remove the four screws near the corners of the back of the keypad. Remove the keypad assembly.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/fusion_replacing-the-control-panel_06.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/fusion_replacing-the-control-panel_07.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<h2 id=\"Install-New-Keypad\">Install New Keypad<\/h2>\n<p>Position the new keypad assembly into the cutout on the engraver.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/fusion_replacing-the-control-panel_08.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/fusion_replacing-the-control-panel_09.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Use a 7\/64\u201d hex key to insert the four screws and secure the new keypad assembly.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/fusion_replacing-the-control-panel_10.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Reconnect the wire harnesses to the back of the keypad assembly. The lower connector accepts the wire harness leg that has mostly yellow wires attached. The upper connector accepts the harness with 5 multi-colored wires.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/fusion_replacing-the-control-panel_11.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/fusion_replacing-the-control-panel_12.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<h2 id=\"Reinstall-Panel\">Reinstall Panel<\/h2>\n<p>Replace the top access panel on the right side of the machine, using a 5\/32\u201d hex key to turn the black panel locks \u00be of the way clockwise.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/fusion_replacing-the-control-panel_13.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/fusion_replacing-the-control-panel_14.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Plug the machine in and turn it on.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/fusion_replacing-the-control-panel_15.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Once the machine has booted up, follow the instructions on the display. Sometimes the firmware in other parts of the engraver will need to synchronize and update to the new part.
