sensor.<\/p>\n<p>Shut off the laser and remove the power cord from the machine.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/fusion_x-axis-sensors_01.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/fusion_x-axis-sensors_02.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Remove the top access panels on both the left and right side of the machine by using a 5\/32\u201d hex key to turn the black panel locks \u00be of the way counter-clockwise.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/fusion_x-axis-sensors_03.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/fusion_x-axis-sensors_04.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<h2 id=\"Shift-X_Axis-Assembly-Right\">Shift X-Axis Assembly Right<\/h2>\n<p>On both ends of the x-axis assembly, loosen the two green captive screws until they turn freely.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/fusion_x-axis-sensors_05.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Carefully lift the assembly from its mounted position and shift it to the right, allowing the left end of the assembly to rest on the left side of the chassis so that all three screws on the left sensor housing are easily accessible.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/fusion_x-axis-sensors_06.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/fusion_x-axis-sensors_07.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<h2 id=\"Remove-Left-Sensor\">Remove Old Left Sensor<\/h2>\n<p>Use a Phillips-head screwdriver to loosen the three screws securing the sensor housing.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/fusion_x-axis-sensors_08.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Upend the sensor housing and catch the screws as they fall free.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/fusion_x-axis-sensors_09.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/fusion_x-axis-sensors_10.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Slide the sensor down out of the housing and set the housing aside.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/fusion_x-axis-sensors_11.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Cut the zip tie securing the sensor wires to the x-axis assembly.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/fusion_x-axis-sensors_12.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>In the back of the x-axis assembly, disconnect the sensor\u2019s black connector and slide it out through the hole where the Air Assist tube is also located.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/fusion_x-axis-sensors_13.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/fusion_x-axis-sensors_14.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Set the old sensor aside.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"Install-Left-Sensor\">Install New Left Sensor<\/h2>\n<p>Take the new sensor and insert the black connector through the hole with the Air Assist tube.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/fusion_x-axis-sensors_15.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Reconnect it with the black connector in the back of the x-axis assembly.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/fusion_x-axis-sensors_16.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Slide the sensor into the slot on the sensor housing.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/fusion_x-axis-sensors_17.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Hold the sensor housing upright, supporting the senor so that it doesn\u2019t fall out, and insert the two screws that secure the sensor.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/fusion_x-axis-sensors_18.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/fusion_x-axis-sensors_19.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Align the sensor housing with the screw holes on the x-axis assembly and screw in the two screws.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/fusion_x-axis-sensors_20.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Then screw in the third screw on the left end of the sensor housing.<\/p>\n<p>Slide a new zip tie through the two small slots on the x-axis assembly and secure it around the sensor\u2019s wires.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/fusion_x-axis-sensors_21.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Cut off any excess length of the zip tie.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"Shift-X_Axis-Assembly-Left\">Shift X-Axis Assembly Left<\/h2>\n<p>Now shift the x-axis assembly to the left, allowing the right end of the assembly to rest on the right side of the chassis so sensor\u2019s black connector and set the sensor aside.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/fusion_x-axis-sensors_28.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<h2 x-axis assembly and screw in the two screws.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/fusion_x-axis-sensors_32.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Then screw in the third screw on the right end of the sensor housing.<\/p>\n<p>Secure the sensor\u2019s wires to the other set of wires with a new zip tie.
