{"id":18034,"date":"2024-09-24T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2024-09-24T06:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/support.epiloglaser.com\/staging\/laser-machine\/fusion-pro\/getting-started\/y-motor_fusion\/"},"modified":"2024-09-24T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"2024-09-24T06:00:00","slug":"y-motor_fusion","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/support.epiloglaser.com\/staging\/laser-machine\/fusion-m2\/service-and-repair\/y-motor_fusion\/","title":{"rendered":"Y-Motor Replacement"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2 id=\"Remove-Panels\">Remove Panels<\/h2>\n<p>Remove the top access panel on the right side of the machine by using a 5\/32\u201d hex key to turn the black panel locks \u00be of the way counter-clockwise.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/fusion_y-motor-replacement_03.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Use a 5\/32\u201d hex key to remove the two main panels on the back of the machine.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/fusion_y-motor-replacement_04.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/fusion_y-motor-replacement_05.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<h2 id=\"Remove-Old-Motor\">Remove Old Motor<\/h2>\n<p>In the compartment below the Y-motor, disconnect the white connector that plugs the Y-motor into the machine\u2019s control board.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/fusion_y-motor-replacement_06.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Use a 5\/32\u201d hex key to loosen, but not remove, the four mounting screws located at each corner of the Y-motor.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/fusion_y-motor-replacement_07.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>From the right hand side of the machine, use a pencil to mark the top of the Y-motor mounting bracket. This will be used as a guide to return the mounting bracket to the correct position later.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/fusion_y-motor-replacement_08.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Use a 5\/32\u201d hex key to loosen the Y-motor tensioning screw. This will loosen the Y-axis reducer drive belt.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/fusion_y-motor-replacement_09.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Remove the reducer drive belt from the Y-motor pulley.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/fusion_y-motor-replacement_10.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/fusion_y-motor-replacement_11.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Now use a 5\/32\u201d hex key to remove the four Y-motor mounting screws.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/fusion_y-motor-replacement_12.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Remove the Y-motor from the machine.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/fusion_y-motor-replacement_13.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<h2 id=\"Install-New-Motor\">Install New Motor<\/h2>\n<p>Place the new Y-motor into the machine and insert, but do not tighten, the four mounting screws, making sure the screws line up with the threaded holes of the mounting bracket on the other side.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/fusion_y-motor-replacement_14.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Loop the Y-axis reducer drive belt around the Y-motor pulley.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/fusion_y-motor-replacement_15.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>In the compartment below the Y-motor, insert the white connector.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/fusion_y-motor-replacement_16.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Tighten the Y-motor tensioning screw until the pencil mark you made earlier is visible.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/fusion_y-motor-replacement_17.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Tighten the four mounting screws.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/fusion_y-motor-replacement_18.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<h2 id=\"Reinstall-Panels\">Reinstall Panels<\/h2>\n<p>Use a 5\/32\u201d hex key to replace the two main panels on the back of the machine.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/fusion_y-motor-replacement_19.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"\"
