Read the entire procedure before beginning, observe all safety precautions (power off and disconnect), and have the required hand tools ready. Follow each step in order to avoid damage to components.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"uk-heading-bullet\">Linear Guide Removal<\/h2>\n<ol class=\"uk-list uk-list-decimal uk-list-large uk-list-divider\">\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ol class=\"uk-list uk-list-decimal uk-list-large uk-list-divider\">\n<li>Turn off the engraver.<\/li>\n<li>Disconnect the engraver from power source.<\/li>\n<li>Remove the left and right panels of the engraver.\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/support.epiloglaser.com\/staging\/wp-content\/uploads\/17k_linear_guide_rev1_01.png\" alt=\"Remove panels\" \/><\/li>\n<li>Loosen and remove the lens tube assembly from the x-axis assembly.\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/support.epiloglaser.com\/staging\/wp-content\/uploads\/17k_linear_guide_rev1_02.png\" alt=\"Remove lens tube assembly\" \/><\/li>\n<li>Remove the x-axis drive board cover.\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/support.epiloglaser.com\/staging\/wp-content\/uploads\/17k_linear_guide_rev1_03.png\" alt=\"Remove drive board cover\" \/><\/li>\n<li>Disconnect the air assist tubing from the right side of the x-axis assembly.\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/support.epiloglaser.com\/staging\/wp-content\/uploads\/17k_linear_guide_rev1_04.png\" alt=\"Disconnect air assist tubing\" \/><\/p>\n<div class=\"uk-alert-primary uk-padding-small uk-margin-small-top\" uk-alert=\"\"><strong>Note:<\/strong> The AA tubing is held by a tubing coupler. To remove the tubing, press the tubing into the fixture. Then, while holding the retaining ring tight to the fixture, pull the AA tubing away from it.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<div class=\"uk-alert-primary uk-padding-small uk-margin-small-top\" uk-alert=\"\"><strong>Note:<\/strong> For Fusion Maker engravers, proceed to 10.<\/div>\n<ol class=\"uk-list uk-list-decimal uk-list-large uk-list-divider\">\n<li>Remove the six (6) electrical connections on the drive board.\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/support.epiloglaser.com\/staging\/wp-content\/uploads\/17k_linear_guide_rev1_05.png\" alt=\"Remove electrical connections\" \/><\/li>\n<li>Loosen and remove the three (3) Phillips screws that secure the x-axis drive board mounting bracket to the x-axis assembly.\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/support.epiloglaser.com\/staging\/wp-content\/uploads\/17k_linear_guide_rev1_06.png\" alt=\"Remove mounting bracket screws\" \/><\/li>\n<li>Remove the x-axis drive board and housing.\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/support.epiloglaser.com\/staging\/wp-content\/uploads\/17k_linear_guide_rev1_07.png\" alt=\"Remove drive board and housing\" \/><\/li>\n<li>Disconnect the bellows on the left and right side of the engraver.<\/li>\n<li>Remove the four (4) fasteners that secure the x-axis assembly to the y-axis bearings. There are two (2) on the right side and two (2) on the left side.\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/support.epiloglaser.com\/staging\/wp-content\/uploads\/17k_linear_guide_rev1_08.png\" alt=\"Remove fasteners\" \/><br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/support.epiloglaser.com\/staging\/wp-content\/uploads\/17k_linear_guide_rev1_09.png\" alt=\"Remove fasteners\" \/><\/li>\n<li>Gently lift on the x-axis assembly to free it from the locator pins on the y-axis bearing blocks.\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/support.epiloglaser.com\/staging\/wp-content\/uploads\/17k_linear_guide_rev1_10.png\" alt=\"Lift x-axis assembly\" \/><\/li>\n<li>Slide the x-axis assembly out of the cabinet through the right side of the engraver.\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/support.epiloglaser.com\/staging\/wp-content\/uploads\/17k_linear_guide_rev1_11.png\" alt=\"Slide assembly out\" \/><\/li>\n<li>Loosen and remove the 3\/32\u201d Allen screw that secures the autofocus switch to the carriage assembly.\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/support.epiloglaser.com\/staging\/wp-content\/uploads\/17k_linear_guide_rev1_12.png\" alt=\"Remove autofocus switch screw\" \/><\/li>\n<li>Remove the autofocus switch.<\/li>\n<li>Loosen and remove the four (4) 3\/32\u201d Allen screws that secure the carriage assembly to the carriage assembly mounting plate.\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/support.epiloglaser.com\/staging\/wp-content\/uploads\/17k_linear_guide_rev1_13.png\" alt=\"Remove carriage assembly screws\" \/><\/li>\n<li>Remove the carriage assembly.\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/support.epiloglaser.com\/staging\/wp-content\/uploads\/17k_linear_guide_rev1_14.png\" alt=\"Remove carriage assembly\" \/><\/li>\n<li>Loosen, but do not remove the eight (8) 7\/64\u201d Allen screws on the x-axis idler assembly.\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/support.epiloglaser.com\/staging\/wp-content\/uploads\/17k_linear_guide_rev1_15.png\" alt=\"Loosen idler assembly screws\" \/><br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/support.epiloglaser.com\/staging\/wp-content\/uploads\/17k_linear_guide_rev1_16.png\" alt=\"Loosen idler assembly screws\" \/><\/li>\n<li>Loosen and remove the two (2) 7\/64\u201d tensioner screws on the idler assembly body.\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/support.epiloglaser.com\/staging\/wp-content\/uploads\/17k_linear_guide_rev1_17.png\" alt=\"Remove tensioner screws\" \/><\/li>\n<li>Remove the idler assembly front cover.\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/support.epiloglaser.com\/staging\/wp-content\/uploads\/17k_linear_guide_rev1_18.png\" alt=\"Remove idler assembly front cover\" \/><\/li>\n<li>Remove the top four (4) 7\/64\u201d Allen screws on the x-axis idler assembly.\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/support.epiloglaser.com\/staging\/wp-content\/uploads\/17k_linear_guide_rev1_19.png\" alt=\"Remove top idler screws\" \/><br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/support.epiloglaser.com\/staging\/wp-content\/uploads\/17k_linear_guide_rev1_20.png\" alt=\"Remove top idler screws\" \/><\/li>\n<li>Remove the upper tensioner bracket and the upper Delrin washer on top of the idler pulley.\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/support.epiloglaser.com\/staging\/wp-content\/uploads\/17k_linear_guide_rev1_21.png\" alt=\"Remove upper tensioner bracket\" \/><\/li>\n<li>Remove the idler pulley, ensuring that the Delrin washer beneath it stays in place.\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/support.epiloglaser.com\/staging\/wp-content\/uploads\/17k_linear_guide_rev1_22.png\" alt=\"Remove idler pulley\" \/><br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/support.epiloglaser.com\/staging\/wp-content\/uploads\/17k_linear_guide_rev1_23.png\" alt=\"Remove idler pulley\" \/><\/li>\n<li>Loosen and remove the four (4) 3\/32\u201d screws that secure the x-axis belt clamps to the linear guide slider block.\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/support.epiloglaser.com\/staging\/wp-content\/uploads\/17k_linear_guide_rev1_24.png\" alt=\"Remove belt clamp screws\" \/><\/li>\n<li>Remove the left and right x-axis belt clamps from inside the x-axis assembly.\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/support.epiloglaser.com\/staging\/wp-content\/uploads\/17k_linear_guide_rev1_25.png\" alt=\"Remove belt clamps\" \/><\/li>\n<li>Loosen and remove the four (4) Phillips screws that secure the x-axis assembly end plate to the left side of the x-axis assembly and remove the end plate.\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/support.epiloglaser.com\/staging\/wp-content\/uploads\/17k_linear_guide_rev1_26.png\" alt=\"Remove end plate screws\" \/><\/li>\n<li>Pull the x-axis belt away from the interior of the x-axis assembly to uncover the IKO rail.\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/support.epiloglaser.com\/staging\/wp-content\/uploads\/17k_linear_guide_rev1_27.png\" alt=\"Uncover IKO rail\" \/><\/li>\n<li>Loosen and remove the 3\/32\u201d Allen screws that secure the IKO rail bump stops on the left and right side of the IKO rail, taking note of their position for re-installation.\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/support.epiloglaser.com\/staging\/wp-content\/uploads\/17k_linear_guide_rev1_28.png\" alt=\"Remove IKO rail bump stops\" \/><br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/support.epiloglaser.com\/staging\/wp-content\/uploads\/17k_linear_guide_rev1_29.png\" alt=\"Remove IKO rail bump stops\" \/><\/li>\n<li>Loosen and remove the remaining 3\/32\u201d Allen screws on the IKO rail.\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/support.epiloglaser.com\/staging\/wp-content\/uploads\/17k_linear_guide_rev1_30.png\" alt=\"Remove IKO rail screws\" \/><\/p>\n<div class=\"uk-alert-primary uk-padding-small uk-margin-small-top\" uk-alert=\"\"><strong>Note:<\/strong> There are unused screw holes in the IKO rail as the mounting screws are installed in every other opening.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>After removing all of the IKO mounting screws, slide the IKO rail out through the left side of the x-axis assembly.\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/support.epiloglaser.com\/staging\/wp-content\/uploads\/17k_linear_guide_rev1_31.png\" alt=\"Remove IKO rail\" \/><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h2 class=\"uk-heading-bullet\">Linear Guide Installation<\/h2>\n<ol class=\"uk-list uk-list-decimal uk-list-large uk-list-divider\">\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ol class=\"uk-list uk-list-decimal uk-list-large uk-list-divider\">\n<li>Slide the IKO rail in through the left side of the x-axis assembly.\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/support.epiloglaser.com\/staging\/wp-content\/uploads\/17k_linear_guide_rev1_31.png\" alt=\"Install IKO rail\" \/><\/li>\n<li>Place the IKO rail bump stops into position at the left and right side of the IKO rail. Install and tighten the 3\/32\u201d Allen screws that secure them.\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/support.epiloglaser.com\/staging\/wp-content\/uploads\/17k_linear_guide_rev1_28.png\" alt=\"Install bump stops\" \/><br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/support.epiloglaser.com\/staging\/wp-content\/uploads\/17k_linear_guide_rev1_29.png\" alt=\"Install bump stops\" \/><\/li>\n<li>Install and tighten the remaining 3\/32\u201d Allen screws on the IKO rail in every other screw opening.\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/support.epiloglaser.com\/staging\/wp-content\/uploads\/17k_linear_guide_rev1_30.png\" alt=\"Install IKO rail screws\" \/><\/li>\n<li>Place the end plate into position at the left side of the x-axis assembly. Install and tighten the four (4) Phillips screws that secure it.\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/support.epiloglaser.com\/staging\/wp-content\/uploads\/17k_linear_guide_rev1_26.png\" alt=\"Install end plate\" \/><\/li>\n<li>Place the x-axis belt back into the interior of the x-axis assembly. Place the x-axis belt clamps into position and install and tighten the four (4) 3\/32\u201d screws that secure them to the linear guide slider block.\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/support.epiloglaser.com\/staging\/wp-content\/uploads\/17k_linear_guide_rev1_24.png\" alt=\"Install belt clamps\" \/><\/li>\n<li>Ensure that the lower Delrin washer is in the correct position to allow the idler shaft to enter it and the opening on the idler body.\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/support.epiloglaser.com\/staging\/wp-content\/uploads\/17k_linear_guide_rev1_23.png\" alt=\"Check Delrin washer\" \/><\/li>\n<li>Install the idler pulley.\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/support.epiloglaser.com\/staging\/wp-content\/uploads\/17k_linear_guide_rev1_22.png\" alt=\"Install idler pulley\" \/><\/li>\n<li>Install the upper Delrin washer and upper tensioner bracket.\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/support.epiloglaser.com\/staging\/wp-content\/uploads\/17k_linear_guide_rev1_21.png\" alt=\"Install upper Delrin washer\" \/><\/li>\n<li>Install, but do not fully tighten the top four (4) 7\/64\u201d Allen screws on the x-axis idler assembly.\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/support.epiloglaser.com\/staging\/wp-content\/uploads\/17k_linear_guide_rev1_19.png\" alt=\"Install top idler screws\" \/><br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/support.epiloglaser.com\/staging\/wp-content\/uploads\/17k_linear_guide_rev1_20.png\" alt=\"Install top idler screws\" \/><\/li>\n<li>Install the idler assembly front cover.\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/support.epiloglaser.com\/staging\/wp-content\/uploads\/17k_linear_guide_rev1_18.png\" alt=\"Install idler assembly front cover\" \/><\/li>\n<li>Install and tighten the two (2) 7\/64\u201d Allen screws on the x-axis belt tensioner bracket to remove excess slack from the x-axis belt.\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/support.epiloglaser.com\/staging\/wp-content\/uploads\/17k_linear_guide_rev1_17.png\" alt=\"Tighten belt tensioner\" \/><\/li>\n<li>Place the carriage assembly into position. Install and tighten the four (4) 3\/32\u201d Allen screws that secure it to the carriage assembly mounting plate.\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/support.epiloglaser.com\/staging\/wp-content\/uploads\/17k_linear_guide_rev1_13.png\" alt=\"Install carriage assembly\" \/><\/li>\n<li>Place the autofocus switch into position.
