Place it in the keyhole at the top of the machine and turn it to power on the machine.<\/p>\n<p>If the machine does not turn on, make sure the emergency stop button is not pressed down by turning it.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"Demo-Walkthrough\">Step 2: Demo Walkthrough<\/h2>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/fusion-ascent_initial-setup_02.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Once the machine boots up, the setup wizard will launch. First, choose your language. Click the arrow to proceed to the next step.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/fusion-ascent_initial-setup_03.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"\" \/><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/fusion-ascent_initial-setup_04.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>If the startup screen does not appear, such as if you purchased your system used, you can access this feature by clicking the Settings icon, followed by the tutorial icon.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/fusion-ascent_initial-setup_05.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"\" \/><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/fusion-ascent_initial-setup_06.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Next, you&#8217;ll be asked to name your system. Click in the box to add a name, then click OK<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/fusion-ascent_initial-setup_07.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Click the arrow to proceed to the next step. A reminder will appear about connecting an exhaust or filtration system. This is essential for proper airflow and safety.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/fusion-ascent_initial-setup_08.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Click the arrow once you have your exhaust unit connected.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"Run-Demo-Job\">Step 3: Run Demo Job on Fusion Ascent<\/h2>\n<p>Now let&#8217;s see the laser in action. Press the arrow to load the job in your laser system.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/fusion-ascent_initial-setup_09.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>You&#8217;ll see a file named Epilog Demo in the job list.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/fusion-ascent_initial-setup_10.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>In your training suite kit, you&#8217;ll find a 3 \u00bd x 2 inch anodized aluminum piece. Place it in the top left corner of the engraving table.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/fusion-ascent_initial-setup_11.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Press the start button to run the job.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/fusion-ascent_initial-setup_12.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>With the first engraving successfully completed, the setup wizard will guide you through connecting the laser to your computer or network.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"Connecting-to-the-Laser\">Step 5: Connecting to the Laser<\/h2>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/fusion-ascent_initial-setup_13.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>You can choose USB, wireless, or Ethernet.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/fusion-ascent_initial-setup_14.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Let&#8217;s start with USB options. Press the USB button.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/fusion-ascent_initial-setup_15.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Connect a USB cable from your laser to the computer.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/fusion-ascent_initial-setup_16.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Click the arrow to continue.<\/p>\n<p>Next, we&#8217;ll look at the wireless capabilities of the laser. Below the wireless button, there&#8217;s a toggle for turning wireless capabilities on or off.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/fusion-ascent_initial-setup_17.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>If needed, you can completely disable wireless by pressing the minus button. This disables the laser&#8217;s wireless capabilities, but let&#8217;s turn them back on by clicking the plus button.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/fusion-ascent_initial-setup_18.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>To connect via wireless, press the wireless button.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/fusion-ascent_initial-setup_19.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Select your wireless network.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/fusion-ascent_initial-setup_20.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Choose if your network uses WPA2 Personal or Open Security, then press the arrow to continue.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/fusion-ascent_initial-setup_21.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Enter your security key, then press the arrow.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/fusion-ascent_initial-setup_22.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>You can either automatically obtain an IP address or assign one manually. Press the arrow to continue.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/fusion-ascent_initial-setup_23.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>If you&#8217;re connecting by Ethernet cable, press the Ethernet button.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/fusion-ascent_initial-setup_24.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Connect the included Ethernet cable to your laser and the computer or network.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/fusion-ascent_initial-setup_25.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Just like with wireless, you can choose to obtain an IP address automatically or enter one manually.<\/p>\n<p>Press the arrow to continue.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"Firmware-Installation\">Step 6: Firmware Installation<\/h2>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/fusion-ascent_initial-setup_26.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Once your connection is set up, the wizard will prompt you to install the Epilog software suite.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/fusion-ascent_initial-setup_27.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Press the arrow to continue. You&#8217;ll reference this IP address in the software suite.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/fusion-ascent_initial-setup_28.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Now let&#8217;s install the software suite. Visit Epilog&#8217;s website, go to Support, click Software and firmware downloads, and select your laser system.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/fusion-ascent_initial-setup_29.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>You&#8217;ll see two choices to download the software suite or the firmware. The firmware on a new system should be the latest available, so there is no need to download the firmware.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/fusion-ascent_initial-setup_30.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Click go to Software Downloads. Click Download Software Suite.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/fusion-ascent_initial-setup_31.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"\" \/><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/fusion-ascent_initial-setup_32.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>After the file downloads, open the file, select Extract All, click Show Extracted files. When complete, click the Extract button.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/fusion-ascent_initial-setup_33.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Then double click the .exe file.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/fusion-ascent_initial-setup_34.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"\" \/><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/fusion-ascent_initial-setup_35.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Click Next. Click Next again. <\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/fusion-ascent_initial-setup_36.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>You can read the software license, then click I accept the licenses.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/fusion-ascent_initial-setup_37.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Then next click install. If a warning screen appears, click Install Anyway.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/fusion-ascent_initial-setup_38.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"\" \/><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/fusion-ascent_initial-setup_39.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>After the install is complete, click Next. There will be another license that you can read. Click I accept the license. Then next.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/fusion-ascent_initial-setup_40.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>With Run Epilog Software Suite now selected, click Finish.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"Add-System\">Step 7: Add System to Job Manager<\/h2>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/fusion-ascent_initial-setup_41.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>After installation, the job manager will open and you&#8217;re ready to add your laser system. On the Laser System tab, click the Plus button to add a laser system.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/fusion-ascent_initial-setup_42.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The system will search for any laser systems new to the network. Click on the image of the laser system.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/fusion-ascent_initial-setup_43.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Click Finish.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/fusion-ascent_initial-setup_44.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Now you can see your laser system has been added to your machine list, with the IP address, wattage, and other information easily accessed.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/fusion-ascent_initial-setup_45.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>If the laser system isn&#8217;t automatically found, click Add.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/fusion-ascent_initial-setup_46.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"\" \/><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/fusion-ascent_initial-setup_47.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Manually choose your laser system, the wattage, and type in the IP address that is on the display panel of the laser.<\/p>\n<p>You can also enter your serial number for future reference or add this later.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/fusion-ascent_initial-setup_48.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Give the laser the same name you entered at the machine and click Finish.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/fusion-ascent_initial-setup_49.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Back on the display panel, press the arrow to continue.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/fusion-ascent_initial-setup_50.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>You&#8217;ll be reminded that jobs are saved permanently on the machine only if you click the save icon. Press the arrow to continue.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/fusion-ascent_initial-setup_51.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>You can choose to opt in for sharing analytics data with Epilog, which helps improve future software updates.
