Laser technology is such that the laser tubes generate a lot of excess heat and the tubes must be cooled for proper operation. There are cooling fans located on both sides of the laser. Lasers that overheat will not operate properly and may begin to produce erratic laser output or possibly complete failure.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>Allow at least 12 in (305 mm) of clearance on each side of the machine, and at least 20 in (510 mm) above it so that the lid can open fully. This clearance is required for removal and servicing of the electrical equipment.
