General Description
The Epilog Ascent Model 19000 laser system uses a flying optic (plotter) beam delivery mechanism to deliver a laser beam to the material being processed on the work surface of the machine. The flying optic beam delivery system moves the laser beam across the work surface and fires the laser when instructed to do so, vaporizing the material being processed. The Ascent emulates a paper printer in that it receives data from a graphics software program, interprets that data, and then instructs the machine where to move the flying optics and where to fire the laser.
Intended Use
The Epilog Ascent laser system, Model 19000 is intended for use to engrave, cut and mark a wide variety of materials including, but not limited to, wood, plastic, acrylic, glass, leather, rubber, coated metals, anodized aluminum, textiles, paper, etc.
Possible Misuse
The Epilog Ascent laser system is not designed to process PVC or other materials that produce noxious byproducts when engraved, cut, or marked. The warranty is voided if PVC is processed.

The Epilog Ascent is only to be used by trained and qualified personnel. Personnel that have not been trained in the operation of the computer, graphics software program, or the laser system must enlist the help of a qualified operator to operate the laser system.
