Identifing X-Axis Rail Version

Before beginning, identify which version of the X-Axis rail is in your machine. If your lens carriage has the covers highlighted below, follow the Rev 2 procedure. If not, follow the Rev 1 procedure Rev 1 procedure.

Required Tools

• Autofocus Switch
• 3/32" Hex Wrench
• T 10 Torx Wrench
• Phillips Screwdriver

Rev 1 Procedure

1. Power OFF the machine.

   

2. Manually move the X-Axis rail and carriage to the center of the machine

   

3. Remove air assist tube.

   

4. Remove Phillips screw.

   

5. Disconnect autofocus switch.

   

6. Remove two (2) Phillips screws.

   

7. Move carriage to the left.

   

8. Remove 3/32” Hex screw.

   

9. Install adapter plate between replacement autofocus switch and carriage assembly.

   

10. Install 3/32” Hex screw.

    

11. Route autofocus cable through channel.

    

12. Install two (2) Phillips screws.

    

13. Connect autofocus switch.

    

14. Install Phillips screw to secure harnessing.

    

15. Attach air assist tube.

    

Rev 2 Procedure

1. Power OFF the machine.

   

2. Manually move the X-Axis rail and carriage to the center of the machine

   

3. Remove air assist tube.

   

4. Remove two (2) Phillips screw.

   

5. Remove two (2) 3/32” Hex screws.

   

6. Disconnect autofocus switch.

   

7. Remove two (2) T 10 Torx screws.

   

8. Remove 3/32” Hex screw.

   

9. Install adapter plate between replacement autofocus switch and carriage assembly.

   

10. Install 3/32” Hex screw.

    

11. Route autofocus cable through channel.

    

12. Install two (2) T 10 Torx screws.

    

13. Connect autofocus switch.

    

14. Install two (2) Phillips screws.

    

15. Install two (2) 3/32” Hex screws.

    

16. Attach air assist tube.
