How do I install the X-Axis motor into my Fusion Maker machine?

X-Axis motor installation guide for the Fusion Maker.

Required Tools

  • 5/32" Hex Wrench
  • 7/64" Hex Wrench
  • 2.5mm Hex Wrench
  • LC0953 X-Axis Motor

Getting Started

  1. Disconnect power.

  2. Remove right-side panel.

  3. Remove left-side panel.

  4. Open top door.

  5. Move the X-Axis rail to the middle.

  6. Loosen the four (4) 7/64" screws.

  7. Loosen the four (4) 7/64" screws.

  8. Loosen the two (2) 7/64" screws.

  9. Unplug the X-Axis motor.

    Note: When disconnecting the motor, do not pull the wires from the harness. You must pull the connector out from the motor.

  10. Remove the four (4) 2.5mm screws.

  11. Remove the X-Axis motor.

  12. Install the replacement motor.

  13. Install the four (4) 2.5mm screws.

  14. Tighten the two (2) 7/64" screws.

Note: Once the motor is installed, you must follow the belt tensioning procedure below to ensure the proper belt tension is set.
