Door Slide Replacement - Fusion Galvo

This guide covers replacing the door slides (glides) on the Fusion Galvo G100. The door comes off the engraver so the slides can be replaced on both the engraver and the door.

Parts Required

GC0169 – Drawer Slide, 14 Inch, Pair (two pairs needed for complete replacement)

Tools Required

T30 and T20 Torx Drivers
Phillips Screwdriver

Safety First: Ensure the engraver is completely powered off and the power cord is disconnected before removing any panels. This procedure requires laying the engraver on its back, so have a second person available to help.

Door Slide Removal

Step 1

Turn Off Engraver

Turn the key switch to the off position to power down the engraver.

Step 2

Disconnect from Power

Unplug the power cord from the back of the engraver.

Step 3

Remove Top Panel Screws

Loosen and remove the screws around the edge of the top panel (highlighted in red).

Step 4

Remove Top Panel

Lift the top panel off the engraver and set it aside.

Step 5

Remove Upper Rear Panel Screws

At the back of the engraver, loosen and remove the eight screws securing the upper rear panel (highlighted in red).

Step 6

Remove Upper Rear Panel

Remove the upper rear panel.

Step 7

Remove Lower Rear Panel Screws

Loosen and remove the eight screws securing the lower rear panel (highlighted in red).

Step 8

Remove Lower Rear Panel

Pull the lower rear panel and its exhaust duct straight back off the engraver.

Step 9

Remove Side Panel Screws

Loosen and remove the five screws securing the side panel (highlighted in red).

Step 10

Remove Side Panel

Remove the side panel.

Step 11

Remove Rear Corner Screws

Loosen and remove the four screws at the rear corner, shown in the detail view.

Step 12

Remove Front Corner Screws

Loosen and remove the four screws at the front corner, shown in the detail view.

Step 13

Tilt Engraver

Carefully tilt the engraver backward.

Note: The engraver is heavy. Use two people to tilt it and lower it onto its back.

Step 14

Lay Engraver on Its Back

Lower the engraver until it rests on its back.

Step 15

Open the Door

Slide the door fully open.

Step 16

Depress First Slide Lever

Press down on the release lever on the first door slide, shown in the detail view.

Step 17

Depress Second Slide Lever

Press down on the release lever on the second door slide.

Step 18

Remove the Door

With both levers released, slide the door off its slides and set it aside.

Step 19

Remove Engraver-Side Slide Screws

Loosen and remove the three screws securing the slide to the engraver (highlighted in red).

Step 20

Remove Engraver-Side Slide

Pull the slide off the engraver.

Step 21

Remove Door-Side Slide Screws

On the door, loosen and remove the three screws securing the slide (highlighted in red).

Step 22

Remove Door-Side Slide

Remove the slide from the door.

Note: The drawings show one side of the engraver. To replace all of the slides, repeat Steps 19-22 on the other side.

Door Slide Installation

Step 23

Install Door-Side Slide

Position the new GC0169 slide on the door, lining it up with the mounting holes.

Step 24

Install Door-Side Slide Screws

Install and tighten the three screws (highlighted in red).

Step 25

Install Engraver-Side Slide

Position the new slide on the engraver, lining it up with the mounting holes.

Step 26

Install Engraver-Side Slide Screws

Install and tighten the three screws (highlighted in red).

Step 27

Position Belt Block

Move the belt block to the bottom of its travel.

Step 28

Place Door on Engraver

Line the door up with the slides and slide it back onto the engraver.

Step 29

Ensure Door Is on Slides

Check that the door is seated correctly on both slides.

Step 30

Close the Door

Slide the door closed.

Step 31

Return Engraver Upright

With a second person, tilt the engraver back to its upright position.

Reassembly

Step 32

Install Front Corner Screws

Install and tighten the four screws at the front corner.

Step 33

Install Rear Corner Screws

Install and tighten the four screws at the rear corner.

Step 34

Install Side Panel

Place the side panel back on the engraver.

Step 35

Install Side Panel Screws

Install and tighten the five side panel screws.

Step 36

Install Lower Rear Panel

Slide the lower rear panel and exhaust duct back into place.

Step 37

Install Lower Rear Panel Screws

Install and tighten the eight lower rear panel screws.

Step 38

Install Upper Rear Panel

Place the upper rear panel back on the engraver.

Step 39

Install Upper Rear Panel Screws

Install and tighten the eight upper rear panel screws.

Step 40

Install Top Panel

Set the top panel back on the engraver.

Step 41

Install Top Panel Screws

Install and tighten the screws around the edge of the top panel.

Step 42

Connect to Power

Plug the power cord back into the engraver.
