Issue Summary
Customers may report intermittent letters missing from text-based graphics or tags when printing from CorelDRAW through the Epilog Software Suite. In some cases, letters may also shift position, and spaces between letters may be added or removed unexpectedly.
The missing or altered characters may appear in only one portion of a job, even when the same file or layout prints correctly elsewhere. This has been observed across multiple systems and should be treated as a print-dialog/font-conversion issue before assuming the artwork or laser system is at fault.
Although this article focuses on files sent from CorelDRAW, similar behavior may occur with files created or output from other graphics programs that rely on text rendering, font conversion, SVG text, editable type, or vector-based artwork.
Primary Fix in CorelDRAW
If the Setting Does Not Stay Saved
In some CorelDRAW 2025 environments, CorelDRAW may not retain the unchecked PostScript setting as the default. This was observed across multiple Epilog laser models within the Software Suite, including Helix, Mini, Edge, PRO, and G100 systems.
If the setting reverts, create a dedicated CorelDRAW Print Style so the correct print settings can be selected consistently.

Alternate Quick Workarounds
- In CorelDRAW, select the affected text and convert it to curves before printing.
- In Adobe Illustrator, create outlines from the affected text before importing, printing, or sending the file.
- Use these options when the customer cannot create a print style, is working with a one-time-use file, or needs a faster temporary fix.
Converting text to curves or outlines is best treated as file-specific workaround, while a saved print style is preferred for repeat workflows.
