In this lesson, we’ll walk you through unpacking your Epilog Fusion Ascent laser system.

Please be sure to hold on to all packing materials and crating in case you need to move the system in the future.

Open the Box

Begin by moving the pallet and machine into the center of a room or open space. This will give you the necessary room when it comes time to lift and remove the machine from the box in a later step.

Using scissors or a utility knife cut the box straps. Be sure to stand clear of the straps when cutting them, as they may pop out at high speed when cut.

Remove the strapping and the wooden box topper.

Next, open the box by removing the topper and foam inserts, followed by the corner cardboard padding.

With the inserts and padding removed, pull the box pallet topper up and away from the pallet.

Remove the Machine

Cut the tape holding the bag closed and spread the bag over the sides of the machine.

The Fusion Ascent will weigh approximately between 147 lbs (66.7 kg) and 212 lbs (96 kg) depending on the size of your machine.

With the help of an additional person, lift your Fusion Ascent laser system from the pallet and place it on a sturdy level surface. If you purchased the Fusion Ascent stand with your machine, assemble the stand before completing this step.
