This guide provides step-by-step instructions for replacing the door motor on Epilog Laser G100 series systems. The process includes removing the door, installing the new motor, and reassembling the engraver. Be sure to follow all recommended safety precautions throughout the procedure.

Door Motor Removal

  1. Turn off engraver
    Turning off the engraver
  2. Disconnect from power
    Disconnecting power from the engraver
  3. Loosen and remove screws
    Removing initial screws for panel access
  4. Remove panel

Door Motor Installation

  1. Install coupler

  2. Tighten

  3. Install motor

  4. Install door damper

  5. Tighten
    Loosening damper hardware for adjustment
  6. Install motor

  7. Reconnect motor harness

  8. Install but do not tighten.

  10. Tension the motor

  11. Tighten

  12. Position belt block at bottom of travel

  14. Ensure door is seated correctly on slides

Reassembly

  1. Install and tighten screws

  8. Install and tighten

  9. Install panel

  10. Install and tighten
    Tightening screws on the panel

  11. Reconnect engraver to power
