17000 - Carriage Optics Removal and Installation

How do I remove and install the carriage optics in my laser?

Removal:

  1. Loosen lower right thumb screw on carriage optics cover.

  2. Slide optics cover up and tighten top left thumb screw to hold the cover in place.

  3. Loosen the large thumb screw holding the mirror.
    4. drawing
  4. Slide the mirror out.
    5. drawing
  5. Remove the rubber air assist tubing from the lens tube.
    6. drawing
  6. Insert manual focus gauge into holes on lens clamp and turn to the left.

  7. Slide the lens tube out.

Installation:

  1. Slide lens tube into slot on carriage. Make sure the brass fitting faces out.

  2. Insert manual focus gauge into holes on lens clamp and turn to the right.
    3. drawing
  3. Attach rubber air hose to brass fitting.
  4. Insert mirror into holder and tighten thumb screw.

  5. Close optics cover and secure thumb screws.
